Spend the Day at Merli-Sarnoski County Park
Picking just one thing to do at Merli-Sarnoski Park will be tough since the park is home to so many activities. Among its 840 acres is a 35-acre lake with a sandy beach area great for swimming and there’s a pier for fishing. The 2 pavilions in the park are great for hosting a large family gathering or a more intimate party.
For the sports enthusiast, there are 15 miles of hiking trails and an 8-mile cross country bike trail. Other amenities in the park include a boat launch, a soccer field, picnic area with grills, and 2 playgrounds.
Visitors can go to the park from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm April through October. From November to March, the park is open from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. If you will be in the area in the summertime, be on the lookout for the park’s annual Family Fun Day. The event features free food and drinks, face painting, and music.
