Check Out the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail
While you’re staying at Hotel Anthracite, you can head out the door and straight to the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail. After a long day, there’s nothing better than reconnecting with nature on a leisurely walk. The Lackawanna River Heritage Trail runs for 17.9 miles. It is a part of a 70-mile trail system that spans four counties in Pennsylvania.
The Lackawanna River Heritage Trail is a rail trail that merges into the D&H Rail Trail just north of Carbondale. This family-friendly path isn’t just a great place to walk, but it’s also a great spot to ride your bike.
